Synopsis
This monumental masterpiece of early Italian cinema depicts hell as pure visual spectacle. The three directors adapted the first part of Dante Alighieri’s 14th-century epic poem, “The Divine Comedy”, for what is regarded as Italy’s first feature-length fiction film. Production of DANTE’S INFERNO took three years and consumed an enormous budget for the time.
